World Orphans Day is a global humanitarian observance launched by The Stars Foundation™ in 2009 to spotlight the challenges faced by orphaned and vulnerable children worldwide. Held annually on the second Monday of November, the event brings together individuals, organizations, governments, and faith-based leaders to raise awareness and support for millions of children who lack parental care. What began as a grassroots initiative has since grown into a worldwide movement that engages over 60 countries, with support from public officials, First Ladies, royalty, and celebrities.

These include lighting landmarks in purple, hosting awareness campaigns in schools and churches, organizing concerts and fundraising galas, and distributing humanitarian aid. In addition, the day often highlights partnerships with NGOs, UN-aligned campaigns, and faith organizations to broaden its international impact.
